2009 Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept

The centerpiece of Mitsubishi Motors' stand at 2009 New York Auto Show will be the Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept. Building on the success of the current Outlander, this sporty compact CUV will make its World debut on April 9, 2009.

Dressed in a premium Diamond white hue, the Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept showcases a host of new technologies, such as Idle Neutral Logic that automatically shifts the transmission into neutral during vehicle standstill, improved performance and fuel economy from its more powerful 3.0-liter SOHC MIVEC V6 engine, and a Super-All-Wheel-Control System offering superior handling and control. Additionally, there is a number of exciting design elements that help distinguish the Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept, including Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution's signature "Jet Fighter" grille.

Mitsubishi begins taking orders for Eclipse in Korea

Mitsubishi Motors South Korea has commenced taking orders today for the Eclipse Coupe, 8 days before its planned launch.

The Eclipse will be available in a slew of colors such as Sunset Pearl and Rave Red. Mitsubishi announced that the Korean-spec model will pack the features of a fully-loaded American-spec 3.8 GT Premium Package Eclipse, but be powered by a more fuel-efficient 165 horsepower 2.4L MIVEC engine. Starting today, the first twenty orders taken will each include a Nintendo Wii and a 7-inch DMB navigation system.

While more details will be released when it officially goes on sale on the 25th, the Eclipse should be priced in the range of mid-to-high 30 million Won. [Read more on this article...]
